These terms and conditions apply to the First Charge Free Zero Charging promotion offered by Zero through the Zero EV charging network and Zero app.

By participating in the promotion, you agree to these terms and conditions in addition to any other applicable Zero conditions including Zero’s standard terms and conditions.

Zero is an EV Charging network brought to you by Meridian Energy Limited. References to Zero in these Terms and Conditions refer to Meridian Energy Limited trading as Zero.

1. This First Charge Free promotion (“Promotion”) will be available from 10am 27 August 2026 and will continue to be available until notice of its termination is given by Zero via the Zero app and any other additional form of notice Zero deems appropriate in accordance with clause 10.
2. The Promotion applies to eligible EV charges only (“Eligible Charge”). An Eligible Charge means a charging session using a Zero EV charger where at least 4 kWh of charge has been delivered for CCS, or at least 2 kWh of charge has been delivered for Type 2 or CHAdeMO.
3. New Zero customers who register for an account on the Zero app after 10am 27 August 2026 will receive their first Eligible Charge free (“Free Charge”), capped at a maximum value of $50.
4. The Free Charge will automatically be added to the eligible customer’s Zero account on the date the new account is registered using the Zero app (“Registration Date”).
5. The Free Charge will automatically be applied to the first Eligible Charge made using that account following its registration on the relevant Registration Date.
6. The Free Charge will automatically expire six months after the Registration Date, if not used earlier.
7. Once the Free Charge has been used all subsequent EV charges will be at the rates posted in the Zero app.
8. Free Charges are limited to one per account.
9. This Promotion is exclusively available to new customers who register a Zero account on the Zero app after 10am 27 August 2026.
10. Zero will give customers at least two weeks’ notice prior to terminating the Promotion.
11. Any Free Charges in existence at the time the Promotion is terminated shall remain valid for the full six-month period after the Registration Date.
12. This Promotion applies to Meridian’s Zero public charging sites only and excludes free Plug & Charge sites.
13. Business Charging customers are not eligible.
14. Free Charges are not transferable, refundable, or redeemable for cash.
15. Zero reserves the right to extend, cancel or amend this promotion at any time and may vary these terms by posting revised terms on its website or in the Zero app.
